All of these adorable stuffed animals are individually knit by hand in Bolivia by indigenous women. Francesca
and Mariapia Basilico, established i golfini della nonna in 1994, and have been working with the same women’s
cooperative in Bolivia for over 12 years. They were instrumental in creating better living conditions (health,
daycare, micro loans) for the craftswomen. Due to the heart-guided efforts of the Basilicos and the talents of
these Bolivian artisans, many of the women have been able to change the quality of their life and that of their
family.
